The Somali Air Operators (S.A.O) is an operation association for Somalia Airlines. AOAS was founded in 2001 by the government laws of the federal government of Somalia, Islamic shares, and the ministry of Transport of Somalia
S.A.O is registered and operates within the provisions of the transport laws Act, 2007 of the Laws of the federal government of Somalia. Currently, we attract 11 Affiliate airlines.
We are a regular participant and contributor to the initiatives of the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) and the international air transport association (IATA) in the region. Some of our objectives are as follows :
- Promoting and encouraging the development of air transportation
- Promoting and encouraging mutual trust, relationship and healthy competition
- Creating a favorable environment for air transportation activities on both domestic and international routes
